EPHRAIM'S ARROW--JEWISH STUDIES

Weather By The Hour

Don't forget as you check on the weather to check in with the One who calms the storms!

Fields White To Harvest

Lord, I thought I knew you,

but know the winds have changed.

Tossed away, will you find me?

Can still , my heart be sustained?

Just me and you when things were new,

then the season's storms blew by.

Did I forget to worship you?

Will you come, Lord Jesus to gather us- your sheep.

For the days grow long and still,

If we watch and wait, will you hear us yet-

Can we stand strong to do you will?

The wheat has been blowing in that field,

While the laborers are so few.

What then, now are we waiting for?

Can hardened hearts become like new?

Safely can we stay behind you,

as we march with your trumpet sound?

Or- have we stayed and hid so long now,

   That our roots dry underground?

I pray Lord that you will find me.

I pray not to be ashamed.

I seek you when it's early Lord.

I pray not to fall away.

So come Lord Jesus come quickly-

The terrible day is at hand.

I pray we'll all be steadfast.

So you may strengthen our spirits ,

as we stand.

How Important is our Military to the President and You?

Hear an interview with Chaplain Gordon Klingenschmitt as he shares with us the latest attack to our military's state of readiness.  It clearly shows where this President's allegiance belongs and what he truly cares about.  Please listen and share and prayerfully consider what you can do.  As our brave men and women give of their lives and their families--the least we can do is urge our Congress to do the right thing.

A few excerpts from the interview:

"Obama passed a repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell and moved it forward by training troops on homosexual conduct.  Pentagon has announced they are already 50 per cent complete...

2012 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) was passed by Congress which extended the certification from three member to seven (Pres, Sec of Defense--Chm of joint chiefs of staff)... The Congress is trying to add the four members of the join chiefs of staff (the top generals of Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines) to certify it would not hurt morale or troops ability to fight if Don't Ask Don't Tell  is repealed...House passed this bill language added by Duncan Hunter of California -overwhelminghly passed by the House members ,75 %,  to expand  but  he (Obama) is threatening to veto the entire bill...He has written thru his Office of Executives a memo opposing that paragraph in the National Defense Authorization Act...he is signaling to stop that language from the bill...

...unfortunately probably force military  chaplains to conduct homosexual weddings-in violation of 1996 Defense of Marriage Act...it is the law of the land...being violated by President, disrespected by Atty. Gen. Holder who refused to defend it in court...openly defied enforcement of the law...President is chief law enforcement officer to excecute the laws... and make sure they are enforced ..

Atty-Gen directed by President Obama to stop enforcing 1996 Defense of Marriage Act..."

Please listen to entire interview and share it.

May God help us and may you help by at least calling your Congress (202) 224-3121.

Perspectives from Veterans such as Col. Danny McKnight, USMC Sgt. John Bernard and Chaplain Gordon Klingenschmitt on DADT and Their Stand For The Brave

Hear perspectives from two great patriots-Col. Danny McKnight (Ret.) US Army and USMC John Bernard(Ret.). Danny McKnight's experience with leading his troops in Somalia's Black Hawk Down incident as well as John Bernard's deep loss for his son Joshua Bernard (KIA Afghanistan '09) leads us into a hard look at the war on terror.  Also hear perspective of Chaplain Gordon Klingenschmitt and the parallel spiritual warfare raging.  DADT is an issue they see of outmost importance in defending the rights and abilities of our soldiers to fight well in this world full of turmoil where we as a nation demand the best.  The same applies to us--citizens.  Failing our military is ultimatelly failing to defend our country as the repercussions are really of importance to every family today.

Repeal of DADT--When Evil Is Now Being Called Good

Jesus said in Matthew 22:21

Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.

Who does America belong to?  Look at our coins.  The statement above was made by Jesus and it is a reminder of what the Founders determined their nation to be--a nation under God.  The founding fathers left us with a guideline for this nation for their posterity to receive the blessings of God.  But unfortunately we have strayed far away from their intent that today we hear Obama applauding a lifesyle that the Founders considered an abomination for their standard was the word of God.  When the word of man becomes the standard then the path becomes very crooked indeed.

Today the President (along with Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi among others) is very proud to have signed the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell as if today marks their freedom when in truth all it did was give glory to this lifestyle.  Did he just forget that recently Bradley Manning of this same lifestyle, a traitor,  just gave our nation's defense secrets?   Of course not. What a sad day today is in America when what God calls evil and an abomination --is being held up with pride by some of this nation's highest leaders.  But at the same time we have to remind ourselves that God is sovereign and he will not be mocked by the ways of man.

Thank God there is a new Congress coming up--there is hope that again some maybe many in the halls of Congress will be using the right standards again.  DADT may have been repealed but I daresay in the hearts of many Americans this will be a rally cry for 2012 especially in light of how the lame duck Congress and those senators did not even want to have proper hearing on this most important issue. Standing up for our military will be the least we can do for those who died for us.

Also, the unkindest thing we can do to those under the bondage of the homosexual lifestyle is to not point out that the price of that sin is hell for eternity.   That would be the unkindest thing of all.  Their so-called friends in that lifestyle will  never tell them that but just like everyone else that death comes too--we will not wake up on the other side to our friends but before Jehovah.  Read the Bible and find out what happens for it means forever and I pray our leaders will realize God will not be mocked--He will have the last Word.  The Founding Fathers  whose wisdom is unequalled by anyone in our nation's leadership today--knew that-- and that is why our national motto is "one nation under God."

In Nahum Chapters 1 and 2--God had his way with Nineveh--though they listened and repented when Jonah spoke--eventually they went back to evil and is no more.  God is sovereign and he will have his way.  We need to learn from the past so that we can know how to behave today as a nation, as a people.

The burden of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.

God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.

The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.

He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.

The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.

Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.

The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.

Sen Scott Brown, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins--What Do They Have In Common

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Matthew 16:25-27

The above three Senators are standing up for an agenda that would sacrifice a soldiers's life.  It is traitorous when one takes into account that we are at war and a Marine Corp General has warned them it will risk the lives of his men.

"When your life hangs on the line," said Gen. James F. Amos, the commandant of the Marine Corps, "you don't want anything distracting. . . . Mistakes and inattention or distractions cost Marines' lives."

Why chance it?  The brave and right thing to do would say no to this repeal of don't ask don't tell. Facts on the full Pentagon report shows overall the impact on unit trust would be negatively impacted -75% Army combat arms and 85% Marine combat arms and 24%-almost a quarter of them will leave earlier than planned.

How can these three servants of the people and this nation seek to serve a very loud minority over the safety of our nation and it's soldiers?   It is traitorous when one considers they swore to defend this nation.  These senators also act as if they do not realize that this is a nation under God and He is watching.  Bernie Madoff didn't get away with it and I doubt neither will they.  The price of lives for power is even worse than money and Americans throughout are seeing the ugly truth before their eyes of what RINOs mean.  Senator Scott Brown was a praised name but no longer--he has now earned a new name.

"No Greater Love", Our Military and US

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.  John 15:13

This scripture should mean a lot to each of us when we think of our military men and women .  When you think of how much throughout history, time and time again our military have sacrificed so much blood, sweat, tears and family to protect our way of life--then we as grateful citizens should be more than happy to come to their aid when called upon specially if it just means phone calls.

  • General James Amos warns (head of the Marine Corps)as he told reporters today that a change in the policy could result in casualties. "When your life hangs on the line, you don't want anything distracting... Mistakes and inattention or distractions cost Marines' lives."

Won't you take a moment to call the leadership offices of the Senate in Congress at (202) 224-3121 and the following:

Sen. Lieberman (202) 224-4041 Susan Collins (R-Me 202-224-2523) Judd Gregg (R-N.H. 202-224-3324), Richard Lugar (R-Ind. 202-224-4814), Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.), Ben Nelson (D-Nebr.), Olympia Snowe (R-Maine 202-224-5344), George Voinovich (R-Ohio 202-224-3353), and Jim Webb (D-Va. 202-224-4024) Mark Kirk (R-Il 202-224-2854), Mark Pryor (D-Ark 202-224-2353).

It's our turn.  Let's fight for them as they fight for us and may God have mercy upon America. Tomorrow may be our last chance to lift our fingers and call. Please remember how these named voted.
