EPHRAIM'S ARROW--JEWISH STUDIES

Weather By The Hour

Don't forget as you check on the weather to check in with the One who calms the storms!

Fields White To Harvest

Lord, I thought I knew you,

but know the winds have changed.

Tossed away, will you find me?

Can still , my heart be sustained?

Just me and you when things were new,

then the season's storms blew by.

Did I forget to worship you?

Will you come, Lord Jesus to gather us- your sheep.

For the days grow long and still,

If we watch and wait, will you hear us yet-

Can we stand strong to do you will?

The wheat has been blowing in that field,

While the laborers are so few.

What then, now are we waiting for?

Can hardened hearts become like new?

Safely can we stay behind you,

as we march with your trumpet sound?

Or- have we stayed and hid so long now,

   That our roots dry underground?

I pray Lord that you will find me.

I pray not to be ashamed.

I seek you when it's early Lord.

I pray not to fall away.

So come Lord Jesus come quickly-

The terrible day is at hand.

I pray we'll all be steadfast.

So you may strengthen our spirits ,

as we stand.

RICK SANTORUM CAN WIN; ROMNEY IS NOT INEVITABLE CANDIDATE -- BY DONNA GARNER -- 4.6.12

“Rick Santorum Can Win; Romney Is Not Inevitable Candidate”

by Donna Garner

4.6.12

We voters must not listen to the liberal-left news media who want Romney to be elected because they believe he can be easily defeated by Obama.

We also must not listen to the moderate country club Republicans who are always much too ready to compromise on all-important, conservative principles. These moderates only care about fiscal issues but cannot seem to figure out that the social issues and entitlement programs are what are driving the insurmountable national debt.

Romney is not the “inevitable candidate.”

We grassroots voters do not have to settle for less by choosing Romney.

We grassroots citizens orchestrated a conservative tsunami in the elections of Nov. 2010, and we have gathered strength and more political savvy since then. Our numbers are growing as more and more Americans see the dangerous plight of our nation.

We are losing our freedoms; we are drowning in debt; the Obama administration is taking over our public school children and our nation’s healthcare system. He is bullying the U. S. Supreme Court members, deliberately fueling hatred and prejudice among people in our society, and is trying to elevate the Executive branch above the Constitution of the United States.

The stability of the world is being threatened by Obama’s mishandling of foreign policy.

The Middle East is turning into a cauldron stoked by those who intend to perpetrate a nuclear attack on Israel and others supported by the United States.

Our own country is in jeopardy of being targeted by homegrown terrorists who live among us.

For the sake of the future of our children and grandchildren, we simply must elect the authentic conservative who is Rick Santorum. Santorum understands the working man; he knows how to get our country out of debt; he has a solid plan to create jobs; he values faith and family; he knows the Source of all Wisdom and Knowledge; and he loves America and other people more than himself.

Here is the Good News: Santorum can be elected!  Let’s look at the facts:

4.5.12 -- Rasmussen – Poll of likely GOP primary voters --

Pennsylvania GOP:  Santorum 42%, Romney 38%:

4.6.12 -- Daily Presidential Tracking Poll:  Obama 46% -- Santorum 44%

=================

4.5.12 --- From Rick Santorum:

Let me be clear: the final goal of our campaign is the defeat of Barack Obama. That's why I ran for President in the first place…

I firmly believe Mitt Romney's support for his Massachusetts health care mandate, Cap and Trade and the bailouts make him unelectable in the fall. We cannot afford a nominee that does not stand strong for our conservative principles.

We need a principled, Reagan conservative to challenge Barack Obama in the fall and nothing less.

==================

4.1.12 – From Santorum Team:

Two new polls show Rick gaining ground in Nebraska and the key swing state of North Carolina. Pollsters noted that Mitt Romney was more unpopular in Nebraska than President Obama. And in North Carolina, we're tied with Mitt Romney. The polling firm noted ‘More and more conservatives are unifying around Santorum as the alternative to Romney.’

4.2.12 – “Mitt Romney’s Weakness Is Also Strength — or Is It?”  -- Roll Call --

http://www.rollcall.com/issues/57_119/mitt-romney-weakness-also-strength-or-is-it-213584-1.html

By Stuart Rothenberg

[Stuart Rothenberg is not known as a conservative. He has worked for PBS, CBS News, and CNN. He is a frequent contributor to Meet the Press, This Week, Face the Nation, The NewsHour, Nightline, The New York TimesThe Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal and other newspapers. – Donna Garner]

In this article, Rothenberg surmises:

(1) The reason the moderate country club Republicans are supporting Romney is that they really do not believe him when he tries to portray himself as a conservative.

Romney’s great asset is that these voters figure he is merely pandering to evangelicals and the most conservative element of the GOP when he talks about cultural issues, immigration and taxes.

(2) Rothenberg also says that conservatives don’t believe Romney either.  They are not at all convinced that he is one of them in spite of his trying to sound like a conservative “to lock up the Republican nomination.”

Whether it is his multiple positions over the years on abortion, his support for an individual mandate in Massachusetts, his Mormon faith or simply his profile as a wealthy, impeccably dressed businessman, the most conservative Republican voters (many of whom are evangelicals) don’t believe that he is a passionate conservative who is ready to take on the political establishment.

Rothenberg concludes with a highly troubling statement for Republicans:

The bottom line, of course, is that nobody — not his critics and not his allies — really believes Mitt Romney...Is Romney such a mass of contradictions that voters can look at him and project their positions on him, allowing them to support him? Or is his credibility so shot that too many voters will simply conclude that they can’t trust him, making it impossible for them to support him?

WND EXCLUSIVE

COULD GOP DELEGATE COUNT REALLY BE THIS CLOSE?

Santorum camp looks to claim as many as 7 victories during May

Published: 4.5.12

by BOB UNRUH

Excerpts from this article:

A report released today by the Rick Santorum campaign says that the GOP primary tabulations being assembled by the media are wrong – and the former Pennsylvania senator actually is much closer to former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney than is being portrayed.

And the report said Santorum will follow what always was expected to be a “difficult” month of April with the possibility of up to seven victories in May, which would leave him “heading into the June 5th primaries with a freight train of momentum.”

The report by Strategic National was released this afternoon by the campaign.

The report says a much more accurate assessment of the delegate totals in the GOP nomination race at this point is 571 for Romney, 342 for Santorum, 158 for Newt Gingrich and 91 for Ron Paul.

The Wall Street Journal, on the other hand, lists 658 for Romeny, 281 for Santorum, 135 for Gingrich and 51 for Ron Paul. Real Clear Politics lists 655 for Romney, 272 for Santorum, 140 for Gingrich and 67 for Paul.

The report released by Santorum’s campaign said, “There are a couple of fundamental flaws with the delegate counts that the media keeps that reveals that this race is much closer than they report.”

The report said Florida, Arizona and “possibly Puerto Rico” will be recalculated to disperse their delegates on a proportional basis. Those counts now go wholly to Romney.

“They broke RNC rules by going winner take all before the window and therefore RNC members and/or the convention will enforce the rules and make the delegations proportional. This will reduce Romney’s delegate total substantially and increase the other three candidates’ respective delegate totals,” the report said.

It also said national convention delegates are elected at county, district and state conventions, rather than “the initial beauty contests” in many states, and that could change totals...

The report also said media reports add “unbound delegates” to their counts, but those “should not be counted as if they are bound.

“The month of April was always going to be difficult but the calendar gets much more friendly for Rick Santorum in May, the report said. “North Carolina, Indiana, West Virginia, Nebraska, Oregon, Kentucky, Arkansas, and Texas might lead to Santorum winning roughly 7 out of 8 states in May, and heading into the June 5th primaries with a freight train of momentum.”

And the Santorum campaign continues to “reach out” to the Gingrich campaign to work together to prevent Romney from achieving 1,144, needed to claim the nomination, and to elect a conservative majority of delegates, the report said

“Santorum has what amounts to a five-part strategy to achieve victory: (1) disqualify the Romney delegations from Florida and Arizona’s winner-take-all primaries; (2) run up his total in states that select delegates by conventions, not primaries; (3) carry his home state of Pennsylvania; (4) take advantage of ‘the map in May’ which, as Mr. Santorum told ‘Fox News Sunday’ moderator Chris Wallace this weeks, ‘looks very, very good’; and (5) swing over uncommitted delegates.

What Churches Can and Cannot Do and How Do You Kill Millions? With Lies/ It's Time To Let The Truth Flow Like A River...

Mike Huckabee had a very insightful interview with the Andy Andrews, author of How Do YOu Kill 11 Million People, (referring to Holocaust) this past week-end and here is an excerpt from an article:

Andrews told the Huckabee viewers that “telling the truth” is a “great starting point.” But, he continued, “The question we need to ask ourselves is what are our standards for being led?” He said the danger is not a politician with ill intent. No, “the biggest danger we face is a populace who’s able to sit aside and allow a liar to lead them"-read more from article.

Please get informed on what your church can and cannot do through this very informative page from Liberty Council.  Pray and make copies and share with your church family.    It would be great if on the back side you would print the article below or something else that would help inform.  Pray and be bold for truth to set our nation free.

Sandra Cano, the former "Doe" of Doe v Bolton companion case to Roe v Wade in the 1973 Supreme Court decisions allowing abortion and even permitting late-term abortion, believes we need Rick Santorum for President.  "Senator Santorum has strong faith and family values.  He's our man!"
Sandra Cano has placed her trust in Rick Santorum and her "trust" is not lightly given.

She was taken advantage of when she was a poor, uneducated, pregnant woman.  Although she was told she was getting legal-aid for divorce and custody of her children,  instead her case was used to open the door to abortion on demand.  Sandra Cano has never had an abortion, considered abortion or supported it.  She champions the rights of the unborn and disabled children.

Recently Sandra Cano's story was made part of a documentary called, "The Gift of Life" narrated by Mike Huckabee.   In an interview with City On A Hill Radio Show that airs in southeast Alabama, she said

"I think (all) life will have a better chance if Senator Santorum gets to be our President...as long as he has God first, he will protect life and care about the people he is going to serve."

This is a link to an interview where she talks about being used as part of a great lie that has murdered millions of innocent babies.  So, as you can tell--Mrs. Sandra Cano has a passion for truth and righteousness and she believes we must have it back in America's leadership again.

We heard earlier this year the news about of the fight for life in Rick Santorum's child Bella.  According to Santorum,  “I don’t know whether her life is going to be measured — it’s always been measured — in days and weeks. Yet here I am. … because I feel like I wouldn’t be a good dad if I wasn’t out here fighting for a country that would see the dignity in her and every other child", from Palm Beach Post 1-28-12.

Indeed with Rick Santorum one can know beyond a shadow of a doubt that he knows how precious life is and  will serve this nation knowing that-- not just in his head--but his heart.  He has a passion to see the quick repeal of the life-destroying Obamacare.  Like Santorum, Sandra Cano is a fighter for life and she says with Rick Santorum as President you can be sure--"life" has a chance.

Power To The Churches To Shine The Light This Election

Neil Mammen, author of Jesus Is Involved In Politics, has a desire to wake up America.  In his website he states--

"Almost 40M Evangelicals and Conservative Catholics DON’T VOTE! Get 1/3 of them out to the polls - and we win every election; without having to argue with a single independent or non-Christian. This site and book are aimed at helping Christians start small groups and give Biblical and Historical reasons to convince their Pastors, Elder Boards and fellow Christians, why Christians and the Church critically need to be involved in Politics.

Answers every objection your pastor/priest may have. Prove WHY the Church SHOULD be involved in Politics. Show why charity is the job of the Church & not Government. Show why socialism violates the Bible and why Atheists needn’t fear a Christian Taliban!".  Here are some more food for thought!  The three listed comes out of his book.  Share below along with the one from Liberty Council (on the backside)--showing what churches can and cannot do--powerful!  Pray and give copies to your Sunday School Class and friends and see what God will do with it.

Success Comes When We Seek And Follow God's Ways-America's Christians Have Power-Vote Biblically!

1.Vote for morals over money

2.  Make sure the person  you vote for knows the difference between unalienable rights vs goods.  A right is something we are given from God and is not based on someone else's sacrifice.  Goods are things that are a product of someone's work.  You have a right to your own goods, but  you have no right to anyone else's goods.  For instance food, healthcare, clothing and a house, are all goods.  No one has a right to these.  The only right they have is the freedom to strive to gain these goods without unfair rules, regulations or oppression.  A government that allocates goods as rights will eventually have to enslave some or "all" men to ensure an ample supply of those goods.

3.  When voting for a propositon, ask yourself if it is allocation of goods as rights?  If so vote "No".  Even if you really wish you could have those "goods."

Go to Jesusisinvolvedinpolitics.com for more.

Matt 6:31-33

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Please study the records of the candidates--Romney says he is a true conservative--yet unconstitutionally allowed through his own directives to his Dept of Health the issuance of same-sex marriage licenses.  Immediately homosexual indoctrination started from K-12 and parents could not opt kids out.   See more of his record at www.Massresistance.org and in this book Romney vs. Family Values: His Administration's Homosexual Programs Targeting Children--(Book available on Kindle for $4.95).  It says:

"Massachusetts has been the incubator for harmful sexual-radical programs directed at children. It was, after all, through the Governor’s Commission on Gay & Lesbian Youth that Kevin Jennings (GLSEN founder, “Safe Schools Czar”) got his start in the early 1990s. It was, in fact, Jennings’ then “partner” who designed the Massachusetts DOE’s “Safe Schools” programs. The goal of these programs is to normalize homosexuality and transgenderism for children of all ages, while demonizing traditional values and denigrating parental authority.

As for Mitt Romney’s role: The Governor enabled sexual radicals whose goal is the destruction of traditional family values. "Yet, Romney claims to believe in traditional marriage and every child needing a home with a father and a mother."

---------------------------------------------

In stark contrast is Santorum, who is pro-life because God has given him a reminder of the value of life in his own family with a disabled child.  His record also stands out.  There were people that predicted Santorum would never be able to successfully reform the welfare program in America.  He got it done.  In fact, it was the only successful reform of an entitlement program in the  history of our country.  It sent milllions from the welfare program  to work including both houses of Congress--see link.  That's what happens when you seek God and his ways!

The Founding Fathers knew that and God  blessed them greatly-what will we leave our children and their children's children?  Please pray for wisdom and right action.

Independents and Santorum Have in Common-Distrust of Obamacare

What do many independents and Santorum have in common?  Ironically the issue at the heart of Santorum--Obamacare.  He more than any candidate knows the reality of Obamacare will affect his family and in particular children like his little Bella.  God is gracious to let America see itself in the mirror. Santorum talked about euthanasia and what it has done in Europe.   Also a friend Luca who lives in that Socialism has this to say:

"Socialism always end in genocide. You have the silent massacre of unborn humans, that costed hundreds of millions of lives. Now you have the genocide of "not useful" people, old and sick, that would "burden" the Leviathan, the unholy, all knowing and all powerful government. Not surprised one bit. Theirs is a religion of hate, of death, of despair. There can be no peace with that kind of persons. Ours is not a time for shades of grey."

Indeed, these are the times when the stark contrast of what Obamacare pretends to offer you (government help) with what this article re: euthanasia in the Netherlands shows you.

In it is a quote "Schadenberg said the Netherlands does not collect information on how many people with disabilities die by euthanasia, nor was information provided in the government report on how many infants born with disabilities are euthanized based on the request of the parents and the agreement of the physician." Santorum was criticized about his euthanasia remarks but with Obamacare--the death panel will have various tools as apparently the Netherlands does.  So rise up America and get rid of Obamacare and with the right candidate that will make sure it protects you and his family.

The end of the article says:

"The Euthanasia Prevention Coalition is wondering how many people with disabilities are coerced into death by euthanasia based on a false concept that living with a disability is a life of suffering,"..

Here is a link that lists people with disabilities--you decide is Obamacare worth keeping at the expense of others--that's what Socialism will do and the most ironic thing is like it or not--you will be paying for it.

Pray and act!

Santorum in Plano, Texas--Shining The Light of Hope And The People Listened

Watch a video of Rick Santorum speaking in Texas.  The first part of the clip is a little q and a with a very important question and he asks can we imagine what another four years of Obama will do.  America is at a crossroad where tyranny and freedom are clashing and freedom are being lost daily.  But here Texans saw a shiny hope in a man who spoke and remembers that freedom comes from God not government.  Santorum is unleashing an excitement unparalleled by other candidates.  God said seek ye first the kingdom of God and everything else will be added unto you.  America seems to be trying to get its house in order and faith like David's is rising amongst mulitudes.  Get wind of the excitement in this video.

Texans Are Excited And It's Contagious. They Saw What Sets Rick Santorum Apart So What Happened in Texas Will Be Shared And The Rest Of The Country Will See...

“Santorum’s Texas Visit”

by Donna Garner

2.9.12

According to the Associated Press (2.8.12), Rick Santorum is in second place in the delegate race; and as of this last Tuesday night, he has won 4 of the 8 nominating contests while Romney has won 3 and Gingrich 1.

Coming off such an exciting but exhausting Tuesday night, how would Santorum do when he came to Texas yesterday?

It was my privilege to be there for three public appearances and to evaluate Santorum personally.  Because I was a Presidential appointee of Reagan’s and  testified in the halls of Congress numerous times, I know politics and have seen many politicians up close; but I have never observed anyone quite like Santorum was yesterday.

When Rick came into the small room at the Courtyard Marriott in Allen, Texas, where about 50 conservative leaders from our state were gathered, there was not the usual sense of his campaign staffers first entering the room to hush the crowd to get them ready to “worship” their dark-haired leader. They and Rick entered in a quiet and unassuming manner, smiling, excited to be there, and eager to interact with the participants.

Rick had gotten behind with his previous appearance in Dallas and was late in arriving at our meeting.  At one point, we feared that he might have to cancel his meeting with us because he also had a scheduled appearance with the Collin County Republicans right after ours. Instead, he came into the room, promised us 30 minutes; and without any notes or teleprompter, he began in an unhurried and unflustered way to address the four questions that had been submitted previously by participants. (I have posted the YouTube of his answers further on down the page.)

As Rush Limbaugh has so aptly said, “We conservatives don’t need to make notes about what we believe.”  Neither did Santorum --

Next, Rick took questions from the audience and patiently answered them, looking the person right in the eyes as he spoke.  His honest answers, transparent exchanges with the questioners, fresh look, twinkling eyes, tousled semi-curly dark hair, and ruddy cheeks all created the impression of a humble person who is secure in his own skin but totally sure of his mission in life.  We saw a man of integrity whose word could be trusted.

I saw no guile, no ego, no self-focused absorption. Rick was humble and genuine. He did not mind admitting when he had been wrong about a particular issue, and he did not feel compelled to blame someone else.

At the end of the small-group meeting, we went with him to the next public appearance with the Collin County Republicans. This was a bit more formal with a big crowd and a podium, yet Rick’s statements were clear and direct without the usual politically pleasing remarks that are solely geared to raise campaign donations. His speech was interrupted with loud applause numerous times, particularly when he emphasized the importance of the family structure in our society and our Constitutional right to worship as we please even though Obama is trying to destroy that right.

Leaving Allen, we drove as quickly as possible to Fairview Farms in Plano. This is a huge country/western barn restaurant that normally holds upwards of 400 people. The place was packed out; and therefore, two of the barn doors had been raised so that people could stand outside the restaurant to be able to hear Rick.

When we drove up, the parking lots were full with people streaming to the event; many  were going back to their cars because they could not get inside the restaurant.

We stood outside in the cold weather (probably 38 degrees or so) for almost an hour.  I am not good at estimating crowds, but someone from the area said that well over 2,000 must have been present. Of course, many people left when they found they could not get inside to hear Rick speak.

What thrilled me was to see how many young families came, bringing their children with them. One young father had no coat. He held his three-year old daughter in his arms the entire time, keeping her snuggly by wrapping his coat around her.  He listened intently and stayed for the entire speech, and I have to believe that he was there because he cares about that daughter and knows that this coming election will determine her future life.

We who stood outside could not even hear all of what Rick said; but the part that we could hear energized us; and we loudly applauded as we heard him say that it is God who gives us rights and not the government.

Now comes the most impressive part of the night. After Rick spoke, the emcee announced that Rick had to go right to a taping for the Sean Hannity Show.  Many of the people inside the barn left; but because we had not been able to get inside during the event, a number of us went in to look around and to locate friends.

Various candidates were inside mixing with the crowd; but in about 30 minutes, Rick Santorum came back unannounced into the restaurant and spent another 45 minutes with the crowd.

Here was a man who had probably stayed up until the wee hours Tuesday night tracking his three-state victories, had flown to Dallas, had arisen early on Wednesday to attend an early-morning prayer rally with pastors, had done a Q&A with the press, had driven to Dallas to a fund-raiser luncheon, had driven back to Allen for the two back-to-back Courtyard Marriott rallies, had given a campaign speech at the barn restaurant, and had done an interview with Sean; however, Santorum still took the time to come back and meet and greet the public. Amazing!

Rick never rushed anyone through. He gave autographs, engaged with people, allowed myriads of photos to be taken, and genuinely acted as if he was glad to be there.  His staffers did not form a barrier to “protect him from the crowd” nor did they try to force him into glad-handing.  He took his time, focused his attention on the person with whom he was talking, and did not continually pan the room for possible notables.

After being a part of the events yesterday, I can honestly say that Rick Santorum is the kind of person who has one thing on his mind; he genuinely cares about America, recognizes the potential and human worth of each individual, and is committed to rescuing our country from the Obama administration.

I did not have access to paper/pen at the time, but here is a summary of some of Rick Santorum’s main points that sent chills down our spines:

Let’s try to imagine what another term under Obama would be like -- when he is not having to worry about re-election.

Think what he would do to ObamaCare.

Think what type of appointments he would make to all federal benches.

Think how he would force our country into redistribution of wealth.

Think what would happen to our oil and gas supplies without the Keystone pipeline and without increased oil production from Alaska. What would it be like in America for every one of us if we had to depend on OPEC for all of our gas and oil?

Think what would happen if Obama were able to take away deductions for all charitable donations. It is these organizations that stand between us citizens and the government.  It is these organizations that see to the needs of people in our society. It is these churches, synagogues, organizations, and groups that help the poor and minister to hurting people.

Think what another term under Obama would do to freedom of religion.

Think how many more babies would be aborted.

We must rise up and take back our country from Obama and his ruthless administration. Santorum is the person who presents the sharpest contrast to Obama.  Santorum is the only real conservative in the race, and he is a man of integrity and courage. He will not have to test the polls before taking action because he has a moral compass that is attuned to the Source of all wisdom and knowledge.

Rick Santorum--His Idea of Welfare Reform Put Millions of Americans To Work-Reducing Unemployment Of Even The Hardest To Employ

RICK SANTORUM-THE ULTIMATE TEA PARTY GUY
AUTHOR AND FLOOR MANAGER OF '96 WELFARE REFORM ACT

You want a better economy?  Give it to  Rick Santorum--he will fight for it and his record has shown he can move Washington DC to work for "We the People"--PUTTING MILLIONS OF AMERICANS TO WORK!

Sen. Chuck Grassley explained to the Des Moines Register that he was unconvinced about welfare reform until Santorum paid him an office call and “took a lot of time to convince me of his point of view. . . . The sincerity and effort that he has to get his point across in the presidential campaign is almost a total reflection of how he operated as a United States senator.” Grassley yielded and voted for reform.

This is what happened because Rick Santorum authored and managed the passing of that landmark Welfare Reform:
Increased Employment
Since the mid-1990s, employment rate of single mothers increased dramatically. Again, contrary to conventional wisdom, employment increased most rapidly among the most disadvantaged, least employable groups:

    * Employment of never-married mothers increased nearly 50 percent.
    * Employment of single mothers who are high school dropouts rose by two-thirds.
    * Employment of young single mothers (ages 18 to 24) nearly doubled.

Overall poverty, child poverty, black child poverty, poverty of single mothers, and child Hunger declined substantially.  Employment of single mothers increased dramatically, and welfare rolls plummeted.  The share of children living in single-mother families fell, and -- more important -- the share of children living in married-couple families grew, especially among black families.
