Weather By The Hour

Don't forget as you check on the weather to check in with the One who calms the storms!

Fields White To Harvest

Lord, I thought I knew you,

but know the winds have changed.

Tossed away, will you find me?

Can still , my heart be sustained?

Just me and you when things were new,

then the season's storms blew by.

Did I forget to worship you?

Will you come, Lord Jesus to gather us- your sheep.

For the days grow long and still,

If we watch and wait, will you hear us yet-

Can we stand strong to do you will?

The wheat has been blowing in that field,

While the laborers are so few.

What then, now are we waiting for?

Can hardened hearts become like new?

Safely can we stay behind you,

as we march with your trumpet sound?

Or- have we stayed and hid so long now,

   That our roots dry underground?

I pray Lord that you will find me.

I pray not to be ashamed.

I seek you when it's early Lord.

I pray not to fall away.

So come Lord Jesus come quickly-

The terrible day is at hand.

I pray we'll all be steadfast.

So you may strengthen our spirits ,

as we stand.

The Truths About Islam They Don't Want You To Know

Hear interviews with great freedom fighters that want to arm you with truths.  In today's politically correct world, our lack of knowledge is very dangerous for our nation and others--hear Col. John Eidsmoe teach us about the history of the Sunni and Shiite and which nations they control.  What is their goal and what may cause them to unite.  Also, hear perspectives from Dr. Daniel Shayesteh, who helped oust the Shah of Iran as he thought this would pave the way for freedom (much like the mindset of some in the Arab Spring revolt).  But he ran against leaders who were there to preserve their power and  be served rather than to serve the people and he was in their way.  His story is being repeated today in the aspirations of those in Egypt and others calling for Democracy--when in truth they are but pawns for a darker world.  Get informed and share so that others in hearing truths can help true freedom live.

Secretary of Education Arne Duncan Is Not Learned On Truth--Proves Himself To Be An Obama Misinformant on Gov. Rick Perry

http://dallasmorningviewsblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2011/08/robert-scott-fi.html

Robert Scott calls out Arne Duncan (with good reason)

By Rodger Jones/Editorial Writer

rmjones@dallasnews.com | Bio

5:58 PM on Fri., Aug. 19, 2011 |

Education Secretary Arne Duncan's insult to Texas public education was a politically motivated distortion that doesn't become a federal official in his position.

What a load this guy is.

We shouldn't hear lies come out of the mouth of the nation's top education official (photo at right) when he discusses the record of millions of students and dedicated educators.

People work too hard to have their work dismissed with his pathetic statement about feeling "very, very badly for the children there."

TEA Commissioner Robert Scott emailed Duncan a sharp response last night (keep reading for text), and I'm glad he did.

The tipoff that Duncan doesn't care about facts was his statement about "massive increases in class size in Texas" during Rick Perry's time in the governor's office.

Does that sound right to you -- considering the fact that the 22-1 class-size cap has been in place that whole time for primary grades?

I checked TEA records on statewide class size averages. Primary grades held steady, of course, while most secondary class averages went down during the Perry years.

Examples: Secondary math classes averaged 20.3 students in 2000-01 and dropped to 18.5 by last year. Average size of secondary English/language arts classes fell from 20.2 students in 2000-01 to 17.8 by last year.

Anybody could look this stuff up. It's right there on the TEA website. Duncan surely has a few thousand employees who could help him find it.

Also, look up any number of reports -- ACT, NAEP, etc. -- and you'll find Texas students very competitive if not better than national averages in some areas.

Duncan should be ashamed for letting a political grudge interfere with the serious business of educating kids. He apparently can't get over the fact that Perry didn't want to play his Race to the Top game. OK, the governor was political there, too, but don't smear the state of education in Texas in response. Ugh.

What follows is Scott's response to the education secretary's statement:

Mr. Secretary,   I have read your recent comments criticizing Texas public education, and I am disappointed that you have never raised your concerns during any of our personal conversations. If you had, I may have been able to correct any misunderstanding you have about Texas public schools and the efforts of the 333,000 teachers and the 4.8 million students who have been striving to meet increasing standards and graduation requirements.   Your pity is misplaced and demeans the hard work that is taking place in schools across Texas. Texas students are doing very well and in many cases outperforming their national peers. Since you appear to be misinformed about the achievements of Texas educators and students I would ask that you consider the following information:   -- In 2009, Texas ranked 7th in a 26 state comparison of the only states reporting four-year on-time graduation rates. That year Texas' on-time graduation rate was 80.6%. The Texas on-time graduation rate for 2010 is now 84.3%, an amazing 3.7 percentage point increase in a single year on the dropout indicator that you are now requiring all states to report to the Department.   -- Texas is ranked 13th in Ed Week's Quality Counts report. Quality Counts gave Texas an "A" in "Standards, Assessment and Accountability," and an "A" in "Transitions and Alignment" of the Texas system with college and career readiness. This year's graduating class is the first to graduate under Texas' required 4x4 graduation requirements (four years of math, science, English language arts and social studies) and we are already seeing great things from the class of 2011.   -- The Texas class of 2011 posted a record-high math score on the ACT college entrance exam. The Texas average math score was 21.5 and was higher than the national average of 21.1. ACT scores from 2007 to 2011 showed increases in all four subjects.   -- The 2009 NAEP Science results were impressive, as well. Texas' African American eighth-grade students earned the highest score in the nation and our Hispanic eighth-grade students were eighth. Only eighth-grade students attending the Department of Defense schools scored higher than Texas' white students who were tied with white students in Massachusetts. On the fourth-grade test, Texas' African American students out-performed their peers in every state accept Virginia and those students attending Department of Defense Schools. Texas' fourth-grade white students were ranked third behind only Virginia and Massachusetts.   -- We are also a leader in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education. Texas has established 59 STEM schools, 7 STEM professional development centers and is a leading state in creating a national STEM network of states that want to pursue STEM education reform. Texas' STEM reform began in 2005, long before your administration decided to model this and other aspects of your reform agenda on the efforts that have been taking place in Texas for nearly a decade.   Finally, I'm not sure where you are getting your information regarding class sizes in Texas public schools. Texas is experiencing a four-year trend of class sizes getting smaller across the board in both elementary grades and in core subjects in high school. If you would like to see the actual data, I would be more than happy to provide it for you.   As you can see, Texas has a strong record, and I am proud of the accomplishments of Texas educators and students. It is clear that they have risen to the challenge of higher standards and expectations placed before them.   Rather than simply talking about education reform, Texas policy makers, educators and students have delivered. I look forward to seeing the student performance results of your efforts to centralize more control of public education in Washington, D.C.

What Does Smart Growth, Sustainable Development And Agenda 21 Have In Common? United Nations

Many smart community planners in more and more towns are being enticed by "smart growth", "sustainable development" without realizing this is all part of the United Nations blueprint in Agenda 21.

Sounds rather preposterous that community leaders would place their towns under the grasp of the UN especially in light of today's building distate for what United Nations stands for.  It is getting to be as unpopular as Planned Parenthood when the truth is exposed that it has become nothing but a sham.  Consider their latest plan to divide Jerusalem so that Palestine can have it as their moslem capital (listen here) .  Also did you hear they made North Korea chair of UN Disarmament Conference?  Can anyone not doubt that the UN is no longer a valid entity worth putting billions of our dollars behind?

Hear an interview with this nation's foremost expert on Agenda 21, Don Casey.  This is an issue that majority of Americans do not know will affect their very homes among many other things.  Start by learning then sharing so you can stop it in your community, state and nation.

Agenda 21 is an action plan of the United Nations (UN) related to sustainable development result of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development  held in Rio de Janeiro 1992. It is a blueprint of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the UN, governments, and major groups in every area that environment is affected by humans.

It has four main sections that it wants to exert control
Section I: Social and Economic Dimensions
deals with poverty, consumption patterns, health, population and sustainable settlement
Section II: Conservation and Management of Resources
Deals with the atmosphere, deforestation, fragile environments, biodiversity, and  pollution.
Section III: Strengthening the Role of Major Groups

roles of children and youth, women, NGOs, local authorities, business and workers.

Section IV: Means of Implementation
Science, technology transfer, education, international institutions and finance.

Local Agenda 21

The implementation of Agenda 21 was intended to involve action at international, national, regional and local levels. Some national and state governments have legislated or advised that local authorities take steps to implement the plan locally.  On June 9, Obama signed Presidential Executive Order #13575 - Establishment of the White House Rural Council, which will fund it locally. “Smart growth plans” is the euphemism used by the United Nations for its Agenda 21-get informed- fight with truth.

Shocking-Who In New Mexico Would Allow Turkish Flag To Supersede Its Own? Leaders beguiled with free Turkey Trips manipulated by Gulen Movement?

What in the world would move leaders to uphold the flag of Turkey to fly over its own state flag?  It reminds me of how easily misled leaders can be with subtle inducements of goodwill favors such as free trips to Turkey that in reality isn't so free but is paid (untransparently of course) with taxpayer monies.  Wake up America and smell the stench--each state's leadership is in danger of influence from the Gulen movement--wake up your leaders--Texas is doing that--will you?

“Are Taxpayers Paying for Free Trips to Turkey?”

By Donna Garner

7.10.11

What Americans need to remember is that Fethullah Gulen is an Islamist imam who believes in Sharia law.  The Gulen charter schools are being funded by the taxpayers, should follow proper bidding practices, should be run by school administrators who are U. S. citizens and whose biographies are readily available on their school websites, should make their expenditures transparent, and should be carefully audited.

The following articles contain disturbing details about how the Gulen charter schools (a.k.a., Cosmos Foundation, Harmony Schools, Raindrop Turkish House) operate through a large network of well-funded, Turkish entities.

The first article describes the “free trips to Turkey” that various legislators and reporters in New Mexico have taken. Notice that the “money trail” for these New Mexico officials is not transparent.  Obviously, the trips are a way to propagandize all who go on them to come back to the United States and sing the praises of the Gulenist movement.

A growing concern is whether taxpayers’ charter school dollars could possibly be traveling across state lines to pay for the freebies handed out in other states.  For instance, how do we know that our Texas public dollars are not funding the free trips given to the New Mexico officials? Where is the paper trail?  Where is the transparency?

Underneath the New Mexico article, I have posted links to the Austin American-Statesman article which reveals the names of numerous Texas legislators who have taken the Turkish trips and another link that explains the investigation of the Gulen charter schools that the Texas Legislature is conducting.

Roundhouse Roundup

Steve Terrell | The New Mexican
Posted: Wednesday, June 01, 2011

Some Roundhouse regulars' heads were turned in January when they saw the flag of Turkey flying above the Capitol in place of the New Mexico flag.

I jokingly suggested in my blog that the state was trying to fix the state budget problem by renting out our flagpoles to other countries. But the truth is that seven Turkish congressmen were in town to meet with the governor, legislators and other state officials.

Turks seemed to be everywhere during the session. During the past two sessions, there have been "Turkish-New Mexican Friendship Receptions" in Santa Fe with host committees that included several state officers and legislators.

And in recent months, the Turkish-New Mexico connection has grown stronger. State Sen. Jerry Ortiz y Pino, D-Albuquerque, who recently got back from a 10-day Turkish trip with several New Mexico journalists, said Wednesday that he's just one of several legislators who have traveled to Turkey courtesy of a private group.

Sens. Dede Feldman and Cisco McSorley, both Albuquerque Democrats, are currently in Turkey, Ortiz y Pino said. And another Albuquerque Democrat, state Sen. Eric Griego, even took time off of his campaign for Congress to make the trip.

Earlier this year, another group of lawmakers including Rep. Debbie Rodella, D-Española, went, he said. And last fall, Ortiz y Pino said he made his first trip there along with Senate President pro-tem Tim Jennings, D-Roswell, Sen. George Muñoz, D-Gallup, and others.

Raul Burciaga, executive director of the Legislative Council Service, confirmed Wednesday that the state isn't paying for any of the Turkish trips. Legislative leaders in recent weeks have been talking about cutting back on out-of-state travel because of the budget crunch.

So who is paying?
The cost of the travel isn't readily available. Because the state isn't paying for it, lawmakers don't have to file travel vouchers or other records with the state, Burciaga said.

The
group that instigated the Turkish trips is the Turquoise Council of Americans and Eurasians, which on its website describes itself as "a leading independent and an umbrella organization committed to advancing the interaction among American and Turkish, Turkic and Eurasian people to promote and encourage continuing good relationship and understanding through its affiliate organizations regardless of their ethnic origin, religion and other preferences."

The council "brings people together by hosting public programs and private events featuring leaders and experts with diverse views on a wide range of global and regional topics through task forces, executive forums, luncheons, conferences, studies and leadership dialogue."

Phone calls to the Houston-based group weren't returned Wednesday.

The group plans to build a Turkish cultural center in Albuquerque, which would be affiliated with the Raindrop Turkish House in Houston. The Turkish community in New Mexico is relatively small — only about 500 people, according to information on the council's website.

"They approached us about a couple of years ago about sending trade delegations," Jennings said in a telephone interview Wednesday. "A lot of people think that everyone in the Middle East hates America. They wanted to show us that's not true." He said he learned that Muslims, Christians and Jews live together in Turkey without strife.

Jennings said he and other legislators were allowed to go wherever they wanted in Turkey. "It wasn't like the government only allowed us to see what they wanted us to see."

Ortiz y Pino said the main motivation for the Turks wooing American legislators and journalists is that Turkey is trying hard to join the European Union. But the senator said a Turkish journalist told him even if Turkey doesn't get accepted in the EU, the effort has been worth it because of the reforms undertaken by his nation in seeking membership.

Ortiz y Pino said there's a lot to be learned from Turkey. "It's the world's third-fastest-growing economy," he said.

So if you begin noticing an influx of Turkish coffee, tobacco and bathhouses into New Mexico — and if Istanbul suddenly develops a hunger for green chile and tortillas — you'll know why.

COIN Strategy, Rules of Engagement and Catch-Release Policy--Congress Must Demand Hearings

Hear an interview with USMC Sgt (Ret) John Bernard and Mrs. Vickie Behenna (mother of Lt. Michael Behenna) talk about the COIN strategy, the rules of engagement and the catch and release policy.  John Bernard lost his son Lance Cpl. Joshua Bernard (KIA Afghanistan in 2009) and he has been speaking out about the COIN strategy along with its rules of engagement that have hampered our military's ability to have victory in Afghanistan.  Instead we see a pass in Afghanistan as amid the efforts to bend over backwards and build goodwill-we are still seen as the enemy by the majority of Afghans.  John Bernard has through his writings in his blog (letthemfight.blogspot.com) have exposed the failed foundation of the COIN part of which is due to the relationship between Hesham Islam and Gordon England in the Dept of Defense that compromised the proper development of the strategy due to subversion of important documents.  The truth needs to be heard by our Congress so please visit his blog and share the truth then demand Congress to have a hearing.

That is also the call of Mrs. Vickie Behenna mother of Army Ranger Lt. Michael Behenna wrongfully imprisoned for supposedly killing a known Al Qaeda terrorist operative.  When enemies are set free due to incredibly troubling catch and release policy that leaves officers reeling at the further danger this places men in their charge--it is no surprise the pro-active action of Lt. Michael Behenna.  The turn of events however led to him being now seen as the enemy by this current administration's policies and this true American hero was sentenced to 25 yrs in prison and the height of insults is the prosecutors withheld vital information that shows he did not murder the Al Qaeda operative.  Why would the prosecution withhold such information and when confronted--the system still has not given him a new trial so that this information could be heard to absolve Army Ranger Lt.  Michael Behenna-one of our brave defenders.  Why does the Obama administration not do its best to help one of it's greatest resources--a brave young dedicated American military soldier (Army Ranger)--yet bends over backwards to help make sure terrorists gets their day in court.

Part of the reason maybe because they think US citizens do not care.  Please listen, share, pray and then ask Congress to pay attention as our soldiers do matter.  You need to learn about the COIN strategy, rules of engagement and catch and release policy so that you can make a difference and tell Congress to stop this madness.  Our soldiers must be able to fight well as unfortunately the current strategy has not worked even though it is portrayed as doing so--proof shows otherwise as the only reason we are not worse off is due in fact to the surge and not the coin strategy.  We maybe leaving Afghanistan but we pray we will not have to come back as unfortunately most of the Afghans still see us as infidels and their enemies as nation building has not worked as evidenced by an event this month in one of the safer places when Afghans turned against our soldiers-- read more  This story along with news of even Iraq's government unwillingness to help pay for expenses in helping their country when they are able --and the treatment of the California Congressman who dare suggest such is a very disturbing indeed...We must look again at our policies--time to demand it America!

Obama and UN Actions Setting The Stage For War Against Israel

Hear an interview with Chaplain Gordon Klingenschmitt as he discusses matters important to faith-filled America. One of the latest attacks is upon the nation that is the "apple" of Gods eye. The UN Security council is to have an open debate on July 26th on whether or not they will seize Israeli land in September and divide Jerusalem to become the Moslem capital for a new Palestinian state. Abbas quotes President Obama as wanting to see a Palestinian state by September. Hear the details of this impending doom scenario along with other attacks on people of faith such as the story of the Three Pastors in California arrested by California Highway Patrol for praying on public property.

The COIN Strategy and Rules of Engagement Must Be Seen For What It Truly Is--A Plan For Losing

If a nation expects to be ignorant and free... it expects what never was and never will be. Thomas Jefferson

Hear an interview with John Bernard as he shares with us the roles of Hesham Islam and Gordon England that subverted truth to the point that America embraced a plan on how not to win.  When you tie the hands of the best trained military to the point where they are constantly on the move backwards--how can you not ultimately hand the keys to the enemy.  That is what we are now seeing played out in Afghanistan.  Can America afford to be ignorant now that the truth is out?  It depends on whose perspective is being proclaimed.  Political correctness is now the prime tool of the enemy as subterfuge has reached the highest levels.  Who can believe what?  Well--the facts of history--yesterday and today speaks volumes as to which road we must take.  Open your eyes America starting today and honor the heroes like Joshua who gave his very best so that  you can continue to live in the land of the free because they are the brave. Learn about the COIN strategy and the rules of engagement so that you can  help change it because as Ronald Reagan pointed out:

"Perhaps at this late date we can all agree that we've learned one lesson: that young Americans must never again be sent to fight and die unless we are prepared to let them win."- Excerpt from his speech at the Vietnam War Memorial.

--America you are needed today to honor those who give their lives for you and me...

Please go and learn from John Bernard at www.letthemfight.blogspot.com
