Subject: The Blind Horse

Just up the road not far away is a field with two horses in it.

I am often the south end of both,
and sometimes the front end of each, a leader and a follower.

From a distance, each horse looks like any other horse. If you stop and look with your own eyes, y ou will notice that one horse is blind.

If you listen you will hear the sound of a bell.
Attached to the halter of the other horse is a small bell.
It lets his blind friend know where he is so it can stay nearby.

As you watch these two friends you will see that the horse with seeing eyes is often looking toward the blind horse and shivers to ring the bell.

The blind horse listens for the bell and walks toward the horse with the bell.

At the end of the day when the bell horse goes toward the barn

it stops occasionally and looks back, making sure that the blind friend isn't too far behind.
The Living God of all Creation does not throw us away just because we are not perfect or because we have problems or challenges. He watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need.

Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by the little ringing bell of those who Yeshua places in our lives. Other times we are the guide horse, helping others to find their way.

Good friends are like this. You may not always see them but you know they are always there, especially in times of need.

Listen for my bell and I will listen for yours. Be kinder than necessary- everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
Let this Season be special for you and yours. Let 2008 be great before it is too late.

Comment:  In Hebrew, Yeshua means 'salvation.'
