Why is America flocking to Sarah Palin? In a world that is seemingly upside down--where people feel they are losing their bearings as they are passed to and fro by the waves of today's cultural changes--is a beacon of light named Sarah. She came to the limelight not of her own choosing but in an answer to a call. And in today's state of the American Woman who now joins in the fight in the battlefield of war she also decides to join in the battlefield of politics.

She was hailed as the very popular governor of Alaska and the work she was doing against giants in the oil business was respected for the hope it provided for her state. Amidst the tumult of Presidential politics she dared to give birth to a disabled child that doctors today normally does not allow to enter this world alive. And in spite of a double whammy with a daughter in trouble--her and her husband's love shone through. She also kept on speaking the truth instead of what's politically correct--how amazing is that! To top it off, she gave us a picture of a hockey mom with the tenacity of a pit bull lined with lipstick and we cheered! Here, finally, was someone in politics who was proud to be a mom and who could fight and at the same time keep her femininity.

In this new era, we saw in Sarah an Abigail and an Esther combined in a politician. She gave us hope when we saw her fight in the tough political arena surrounded by power and fame as she did what many consider "unthinkable" (hold with pride her disabled baby). And I amongst many, thanks her, for in that instant we saw something better than good--we saw the heart of a loving mother--who did what should always be done--value the life of a child ahead of her own future. She reminded us then and she reminds us now--there is goodness and mercy even in the halls of power--and there is still room for the least of us.

Why is she this way?  Well we can take heart America--she's learned well from the same good book the Founders did--the Holy Bible. It worked for them and it will work for us as well. As a matter of fact that is probably where Sarah's anchor is. She has a knowledge of God and it shows. And because her foundations are solid we will know how she will stand unlike many in Congress today. She has a servant's heart and will serve not just her family well, but will also serve this nation well.

She really doesn't have it in her to do otherwise--she has stood the test of time. Perfect she's not--no one is but as a politician she is close enough to perfect for me. And as far as knowledge- what's needed to accomplish the goal--she's already proven that in her state of Alaska (ask the oil companies). In comparison with others in the highest of places--her record is full of truly making it a better place for those she served. I think that's why those ready for real visible change vs promises are flocking behind her. She's a proven entity that when the going gets tough--the tough gets going and you don't let the enemy corner you-- instead you find a better way to be heard. In the land of the free and home of the brave that is something men and women alike in the tea party want in their leaders today.

Sarah has revolutionized the thinking of many men of today. She is even being seen by them as a viable Presidential Candidate. Whether or not she becomes President, only time will tell but one thing I see--she has raised the equality of woman to man -the right way.

She has proven herself not an antagonist to men but a helper, after all, I believe that was part of God's plan when he made Eve. It is timely, as in today's world, it will take both of us-- men and women to fight the tide that seeks to destroy our future as well as our children's future. We see that in the economy, in education and in morality--troubles loom large and seems to be everywhere.  Defend we must! So come on America, let's pray, and join together in this land where the tough gets going. A new American Revolution is underway--but let's follow the Founding Father's way! And together we can-- throw out some tea!

Benjamin Franklin said ----

In the beginning of the Contest with G. Britain, when we were sensible of danger we had daily prayer in this room for the divine protection.- Our prayers, Sir, were heard, graciously answered....

I see of this truth- that God Governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid? We have been assured, Sir, in the sacred writings, that "except the Lord build the House they labour in vain that build it." I firmly believe this; and I also believe that without his concurring aid we shall succeed in this political building no better, than the Builders of Babel...

I therefore beg leave to move- henceforth prayers imploring the assistance of Heaven, and its blessings on our deliberations, be held in this Assembly every morning before we proceed to business...
